Preface

For the past three weeks, Codeberg has had constant issues with maintaining uptime. The uptime of codeberg has dropped to below that of Github. It was becoming so frustrating that we were considering moving off of there completely.

Until now…

Now

codeberg administrators in their natural habit

The so-called “free software advocates” of Codeberg, in their infinite wisdom, have decided to ban projects related to cryptocurrency and LLM-generated code.

Talk about shooting yourself in the foot as your home burns around you.

Hey, Codeberg! Instead of banning what you percieve to be problematic, how about you guys fix your failing infrastructure?

(Not that I imagine Codeberg will be around much longer at this point)

The future

It’s time to start taking LunarWing’s values more seriously. We have decided to host the source code ourselves and prevent this kind of atrocity from occuring again.

Lunarwing has migrated its main monorepo to self-hosted gitlab. You can find it on the main website

Final Thoughts

If you are still using Codeberg, just do yourself a favor and STOP using this failed platform to host your projects.

It’s proven in multiple ways to be utterly abhorrent.
